Could this be the UNICEF Report on the State of the World's Children?
UNICEF brings out one of these every year, in November or December I think.
So the 1995 Report would be the one published towards the end of 1994.  They
are wonderful documents, full of statistics and good information, presented
in such a way that you get a global picture of issues affecting the lives of
women and children.  For instance, the l995 Report "argues that the time has
come to see the issue of protecting and investing in the growing minds and
bodies of children not as a matter of peripheral concern, to be dealt with
by a little extra sympathy and charity, but as an issue which is integral to
economic and social development."

Every year I beg our local UNICEF office for a copy, most years I'm lucky!
