In fact, oxytocin has an anti-diuretic effect as well.  Certainly you're
not likely to get 7-8 L of IV fluids as you would with an epidural, but
one of the precautions for use is to monitor for fluid overload: "observe
for...water intoxication, poor output, N/V, headache, hypotension..."
