Nancy asks: "I'd really like to hear more opinions from those LC's
who have had clients
use this pump."

I'd also like to hear experiences with this and any other new
products - comments that don't come from the
manufacturer/distributors. WW sounds like a great idea, but so did
Whittlestone and many LCs have reported it didn't come up to their
original expectations.

Are we so fearful of the guidelines about mentioning product names
that we are missing an opportunity to share? Perhaps the
listmothers could clarify again just what can and cannot be shared
about experiences with particular products. We get glowing
recommendations by individuals sent to us by the companies and we
are "trained" to take these with a grain of salt. Comments by our
peers who are not connected with the product can help us evaluate
whether or not we want to might want to recommend or even suggest
them to moms. While someone posting should indicate if they
distribute the product, there is a big difference between comments
from someone who has this product available as well as other
products that might be used in similar situations and comments from
someone esclusively dealing with only one product. (Although their
reasons for being connected to only one product might give some
insight.) For example, I am more likely to put credence to comments
about a Medela product from an LC who works with not only Medela but
also Egnell and maybe others as well than I am with someone who
works exclusively with Medela products.

So, please, what do others think of Whisper Wear. Is it meeting
your expectations? I have found the comments on the new wipes and
sterilizing bags to be very helpful as we decide whether this is
something we will handle beyond the samples received.

(Note-our hospital deals primarily with Medela although we do not
have an exclusive contract. When we have more space, we will likely
deal with a wider variety of products.)

Winnie
