Today at WIC we got a call (in Espanol).  The mother says she was insulin-
dependent diabetic during the pregnancy.  No longer insulin dependent.
The baby is one week old and has been diagnosed diabetic.
Is the diagnosis possible ?
She is heart-broken that she has been told that she cannot breastfeed her
baby.
I couldn't be sure until I checked with the experts.
