Hi Julie,
Even with the higher toxic burden, firstborn breastfed children are
better off cognitively, immunologically, etc than formula fed kids.
Most of the body burden is transferred during pregnancy, some during
breastfeeding.  Also search for Judith Schreiber in the archives, she's
NYS lead scientist on the issue of environmental toxicology.
