When I teach residents in our pediatric program, I teach that honey is
linked to infant botulism.  My group practice routinely recs dark brown corn
syrup for BOTTLE fed infants with constipation.  For a combined practice(3
pediatricians) total years practice of 60 years, we have not yet had a case
of infant botulism from corn syrup.
