My 'n' of one - worst engorgement I have EVER seen, no apparent effect on
subsequent lactation. I had the opportunity to see her with 2nd baby,
engorgement was severe, but nothing like after 1st baby and she coped.

Years ago I had an instructor who said the cause of social problems were
"multiple, complex and interrelated." I've thought many times since then
that most of what we have to deal with in all areas of life has causes that
are multiple, complex and interrelated. And I think that is an excellent
explanation of why some things work or don't work for any given mother. Do
you get what I mean? maybe if mom is deficient in one area, baby's effective
suck makes up the difference or vice versa, and so on.

Just thinking on quiet Sat evening as choir on TV is singing God Bless the
USA. Pat in SNJ
