Apologies if this is off-topic, but I would just like to add
something here about children with enlarged tonsils, from my own
experiences.

Permanently enlarged tonsils and snoring were parts of the plethora
of symptoms my son had as a result of food intolerance, throughout
his pre-school and primary (grade) school years. I couldn't figure
out for many years why he had so many seemingly unrelated problems,
for a child who was breastfed for 2 years. When we finally identified
that he was intolerant to brown chocolate (ie the cocoa part - as I
am also I discovered!), and he stopped eating it (at age 12), his
tonsils shrank to normal size.

Actually this is related to breastfeeding, as many of his symptoms
manifested themselves when he was fully breastfed - through my milk.
The most distressing of these was long-lasting, severe colic (for 5
months) starting at 3 days of age. Symptoms of food intolerance
impact on the course of breastfeeding and can be the reason mothers
contact us for help with what they perceive as a breastfeeding
problem.
