I am a pediatric nurse practitioner(PNP) in a large pediatric practice. My boss has encouraged me and another PNP to become certified as Lactation consultants. We are currently reading, studying and taking as many courses as we can.
Are there other PNPs who have this dual function? How does this work out as far as scheduling patients, billing, and coding. Do you get paid differently for PNP visits versus LC visits?
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Melissa
