Hi,
I almost hesitate to mention this, but a neighbour had terrible trouble
latching her baby on - she seemed totally disinterested in the breast
and not greatly fascinated by the bottle. She had to be tube fed for the
first few days before they finally realised the problem - the baby was
blind.

Unfortunately, her mother had contracted toxoplasmosis during pregnancy.
The "baby" is now a 6yo and doing great, but she has minimal sight.
