Hello, lovely people :-)

It occured to me (during a long home visit yesterday) that for a 'normal'
birth, baby's head should be tucked down, but when nursing (not in
laid-back position) baby's head should be tilted back - complete opposite
direction. It's no wonder some babies, like this one, have issues with
nursing in cradle/cross-cradle/football hold during the first few days.
Plus, some baby's heads are so sore after the birth with the molding. I had
never really thought of that before. These poor babies with the 'ram and
jam' methods of nursing at some hospitals...no wonder they get so upset.
Their muscles have to relax and have more movement before they are really
ready for anything but laid-back nursing positions.

My lightbult moment for the week.
