Hi,
what a great topic for a class! Can I come too? :-)
>I am doing a class on: "Is breastfeeding the cause of all problems?", and I
>am looking for all the problems you heard were supposedly related to
>breastfeeding.

In Babies:-
Small baby ("Breastfeeding makes babies skinny")
Fat baby ("You nurse him too much")
Over-dependancy and "clinginess"
Homosexuality (not that this is considered a "problem" by many)
Breathing problems ("I have large breasts and they smothered him")
Eczema (*caused* exclusively by breastfeeding)
Tooth decay
Ear infections (nursing lying down is blamed)
Delayed acceptance of solids ("Cut out nursing and he'll eat more")
Constipation (not!)

In mothers:-
Thyroid problems
Tooth decay
Osteoporosis
Premature menopause
Poor immune system ("baby sucks all the goodness out of you")
Pain in intercourse
Lack of libido
Elevated cholesterol (permenantly)
Miscarriage (in *all* cases, not just high risk ones)
Uterine prolapse
Constipation
Weightgain
Excessive weightloss
Sexual abuse
Over-possessiveness

Just one question from your list. How can weaning be caused by
breastfeeding?
