Hello all,

I had a mom call me yesterday with some questions that I cannot seem to
find answers to.

She is concerned that she and her husband have noticed her breasts are two
different sizes. We talked about it being mostly a cosmetic problem - she
can feel milk letting down on both sides and baby is satisfied no matter
which side she nurses from. I suggested that perhaps baby prefers one side
over the other, and is better (more efficient) at emptying that side. But,
I didn't have any practical suggestions for her other than pad her bra!
Any ideas?

Also, she was wondering if she could use cough drops. Her OB had told her
they were OK during pregnancy other than ones containing menthol. My
impression is that cough drops are mainly topical. Would there be anything
passed to the baby through breastmilk? (already checked Hale's and
couldn't find what I was looking for)

Lastly, she was concerned about using cellulite cream (I forgot to ask
what body part she used it on). I told her that as long as she wasn't
using it on her nipples it would be OK, but I can't find any references to
back me up. As long as she watches that neither she nor the baby have any
type of reaction ...

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Warmly,
Michelle Roth
