To Jeanette F. Panchula:

Ibuprofen is a good choice, perhaps best choice, in a BFing mom
because of its poor prenetration into breastmilk. Less than 0.6% of the
maternal dose is transferred into milk. In one patient receiving 400 mg
twice daily, milk levels were less than 0.5 mg / liter of milk. Just
observe the infant for GI distress. Have mom breastfeed, then take
medicine. Wait several hours to refeed.
