Four more postings to go and I am caught up on my LACTNET reading.  Re:
the Crisco comment.  Prior to having the lanolin products available and
especially when I was doing telephone counseling with a mother who
wanted/needed an emollient for her dry cracked nipples, I also
recommended Crisco.  That was also a suggestion given to my sister who
delivered at one of our largest delivering hospitals almost 18 years ago.
 It worked.

Maureen, Thank you for being so succinct in your reply.  You have
summarized my feelings very well.  As a hospital based LC, we do our best
and it's not always the nurses but also the pediatricians, OB's and
Family Practice Docs that can get in the way of accurate information.  I
just keep pursuing my motto, educate, educate, educate.
