I recently read _The LCP Solution:  The Remarkable Nutrional Treatment
for ADHD, Dyslexia & Dyspraxia_ by B. Jacqueline Stordy, Ph.D.  I think
this mom would really get a lot out of it.  Basically Dr. Stordy
discusses the role of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids in brain
function.  She talks about how many times these disorders run in
families (as in the mom's case), and how a high quality fish oil
supplement and some evening primrose oil do WONDERS because of the DHA
levels.

I'm really slaughtering the description, but I think it's really worth
looking into.
