HI all,

I have fervently read all regarding this campaign and was disheartened
to see the idea plumet so quickly once politics/$ became involved. Like
Heather who wrote:
"At the weakness of the argument of someone who is a professional
politician! The governor thinks giving away free formula is protecting
a mother's right to make a decision on how to feed her baby....how does
this work, I want to ask him? How on earth does the removal of a 'gift'
remove a mother's freedom to make a decision about whether to formula
feed???"

I wondered, how can he get by with nonsense like that? It is so
transparently ignorant. It seems as though the AIM heavyhitters
coached him to just keep repeating it no matter how it sounds or what
questions they ask. It's their right to choose, it's their choice...
His mantra if you will. Heather & myself & many others ask openly as
women "How on earth does the removal of a 'gift' remove a mother's
freedom to make a decision about whether to formula feed???"
I am sure we would only get the mantra in response but what do the
majority of people think? Are they fooled by the verbal ruse?
Commisioner Cote sure changed his tune fast, I guess he was hit by the
"heavy arm of government". Maybe he sacrificed himself to the arm so
that innocent women could be spared to choose inferior foods for thei
vulnerable infants. Alas we look with hope towards the east, we are
here to support MA & try to follow suit in the future despite Governors
& Commisioners mantras, political moves & money.......Sigh.
