To Kathleen and all the women who work on LACTNET:

We thank you for all the work you do, and we know that there is a lot more
to it than just posting the messages. When you reach the point of
considering unsubscribing a person, you have put up with a lot more than we
know or can imagine. Very often the rest of us are tired of the posts that
are antagonistic and provoke reactions of "You just don't get it; you
probably never will." I speak for myself when I say that it is baffling as
to why someone who is so contrary to what most believe/experience/etc: Why
are you on this list? What is your purpose? Sometimes the responses of the
persons who are contrary are revealing exactly what is contrary yet the
persons do not see it in themselves. Then the rest of us take a lot of
time, energy, and angst trying to help those persons "see the light" in a
diplomatic way. Does it work? Sometimes but not always. I feel exhausted
just reading the posts; but when I respond, the price in time, energy, and
angst is unbelievable. In my experience, it is much harder than just
politely disagreeing. Thank you for halting it as best you can, even if
sometimes it means unsubscribing someone when necessary.

Warm regards,

Lee

has been hard, as it took a lot of dialogue between us all to come to this

agreement. It has been draining of energy, and that is why it's so hard.

We don't enjoy it, and we are sure that the ex-subscriber did not enjoy it

either. However, there is value in getting these nearly 20 affirming emails,

and it makes me feel like we've done the correct thing for the list.

Thank you all, for the honest feedback. If anyone has any other feedback

that they feel is important for us to have, please do send it. I personally

am glad to ready and respond.

Best, Kathleen
