Dear Jay,
I've lived this one many a time. At our station, Medela has given us
scholariship pumps based on our rental level. I would definatley give the
pump station the first opportunity to give her the scholarship pump and if
they can't, simply offer to the rental station that you will/can provide the
pump. I think that would show a great deal of respect for both the station
and the mothers needs.

As for you being the other gal, If this happened to us I would write a letter
thanking the LC for providing this scholarship pump and remind him/her that
our station could and would have done the same. Then send some great unifying
(sp?) breastfeeding quote to keep the lines open.
