As others have said, it is a good organization. I know many of the staff
members personally and have loved working with them. I would suggest
researching their programs. The programs where you get letters from a
child can be emotionally gratifying, but actually a lot of money is spent
on getting the letters the photographs and tracking that individual child.
It is done because often the donating public wants that personal
connection. In actuality, the impact is much greater when you give to a
program that provides service for the whole community. And as others have
said, Save the Children does have excellent programs for the community.
