I'm dismayed by the assertion that it's the US Government that wants to stop
the National Breastfeeding Campaign. Please remember, be reminded, or just
plain be assured that it was the US Government that called for,
COMMISSIONED, funded, vetted, and is now defending the Campaign!  The Ad
Council took it on as a project - they came to the Office of Women's Health
and offered support.

The attacks are generated by THE COMPETITION to breastfeeding, trying
everything they can think of to delay, weaken, and otherwise derail the
Campaign. Put the blame where it belongs - on those who profit when mothers
don't breastfeed. 

There are probably more of US breastfeeding
advocates/supporters/professionals than there are those who want the
campaign to go away, but "they" may have more money. We have pens,
computers, fax machines, and telephones. WRITE THOSE LETTERS TODAY if you
haven't already! Secretary Thompson and others in "high places" need to know
that public support is solidly and enthusiastically behind the campaign.
