I hate to sound like a broken record here...but it is embarrassing how much
we do not know!

When I see a mom with a bleb I tell her, "Sorry---we don't know what these
are". Noone has biopsied one to look at it under the microscope to tell me.
The theory that makes the most sense to me is..."

ANyway, as for specific treatment, once it is open, it seems to help to
apply triple nipple ointment to calm inflammation/swelling and keep it open,
and hopefully not infected. There is often a coexisintg oversupply and
pinching to slow flow, which can be addressed. And if it is extrememly
painful, often coexisting vasospasm. Have her try heating pad on low for 15
mins after nursing.

My thoughts--
