Arly,
I wanted to add another link in regard to the breastfeeding campaign from the
US Breastfeeding Committee website.
Its:
http://www.usbreastfeeding.org/News-and-Events.html

under "news and announcements" click on USBC Summary of the Issues National
Breastfeeding Awareness Campaign

The conclusions of this document are rather astounding to me. One in
particular is quite surprising--that the

"USBC will cooperate with DHHS in creating a written response to the letters
received from mothers who chose to formula-feed their children." and

"The USBC will inform news networks that the USBC was NOT denied access to
the leadership at DHHS and that all discussions between DHHS and the USBC were
candid and fruitful."

and one of the last conclusions:
"The USBC would like to request assistance from DHHS in funding
community-based breastfeeding support services."

I have been told that USBC meetings are private and not open to the public
and minutes of meetings are not available.
Valerie W. McClain, IBCLC
