Phyllis, you ruined my day. I went to Page One of the site you sent us to,
which is http://family.go.com/raisingkids/baby/care/feature/dony59wobottle.
Aaugh!

"Few images are as evocative of infancy as a clear, sparkling baby bottle
filled with frothy, white liquid. It represents innocence, purity and
promise."

There's a brief section on how breastfeeding is preferred, and how the AAP
"insists that infants need breastmilk for the entire first year of life" but
then it moves right on:

"But breastfeeding isn't always right for every mother. It can be
difficult--even painful--for some women, and working mother's (sic) find it
challenging to have enough expressed milk on hand for hungry babies. And
whether you breastfeed for an entire year or only during the early months,
you're going to need to supplement with formula at some point. What's more,
today's formulas are much more nutritious and tastey (sic) than the
evaporated milk and corn syrup concotions (sic) on which many a baby boomer
was raised."

"If and when you do start bottle-feeding, you're likely to find precious
little in the way of information and advice. Until now, that is. What
follows is an overview on the in's and out's of bottle-feeding your baby, so
put your guilty feelings aside and read on."

So tell me, did the kind and caring folks at Nestle have a hand in this? Or
did Disney come up with it wholly separate from its corporate connections?

I've had it. I'm going to Australia...
