The reason we gave them (PTTs) a different name is that they do seem to 
be a different phenomenon. The gender ratio is different between 
anterior and posterior tt's, for one thing (based on over 2000 cases 
compiled by Isabella Knox, MD). That probably means the cause is 
completely different. We are still learning all the time.

There will be a workshop on the controversies about PTT at the Academy 
of Breastfeeding Medicine Conference in Philadelphia in November, if you 
want to invite this HCP to attend and share her insights and hear those 
of other experienced practitioners.
