Why can't we wait to give moms the rubella vaccine?  (my midwife waited
until I went back 6 mos. after birth to give it to me.) A co-worker was
given it right after delivery and she came down with rubella--wasn't
allowed to see her child, wasn't allowed to breastfeed. BTW, she wasn't
planning on having more kids.  No offense to anyone here, but I see this
practice as another example of not permitting women to control or be
trusted with their own bodies.
