These are my morning musings. It occurred to me that perhaps the reason
that breastfeeding became "unnecessary" in our society is because of the
dehumanizing of the human infant and young child. How do we make people
feel no guilt for persecuting/killing another group of people? We
dehumanize the target group, make them sub-human (e.g. what the Nazis
did to the Jews during WWII). It seems to me that our society also
dehumanized the human infant. We suddenly decided that the infant has no
feelings, no emotions, not even nerve endings since until recently no
anesthesia was used during surgery on babies. They also apparently don't
need the closeness and comfort from the mother's body and they don't
need the food that is made specifically for them, i.e. breast milk. When
did we start thinking like a bunch of psychopaths, since this kind of
thinking is nothing less than psychopathic, IMO.
