Hmm, interesting thought. I've also wondered if prolonged or strict bed rest could affect production. For awhile that seemed to be the only variable that kept popping up when I'd be assessing for apparent insufficient milk (in absence of BF/pumping management issues). Could it be related to (from article): "Moreover, it takes only a few days of bed rest to cause insulin resistance, which can lead to diabetes, noted Dr. Bob Wolfe, a professor of surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston."
