Ameda put together the kit with the information printed on one card, and
other information about the characteristics of the gut in the first days of
life.
The balls themselves are simply a regular marble, a shooter marble, and a
ping pong ball, showing the volume of the newborn stomach at day 1, day 3,
and day 10, respectively. Not exactly specialized, hard-to-find, finely
calibrated medical equipment, and most of us probably have those things
rattling or rolling around our homes somewhere.

Using the Ameda ones daily, with mothers and with staff, since Barbara Ash
sent them to me this summer (thanks Barbara!)
