When I come to Lactnet to read or post I often use the expression the Wise
Ones, but it is not a pedestal comment.  It is a comment of reverence and
respect for those that went before me blazing trails in a field of women and
children's health and have made magnificent changes.  It is for everyone in
this field who has seen more than I because they have been doing it longer,
or seen something different because of where they are and what they do.  I
don't think they are on a pedestal exactly, but I don't consider them my
"equal" in respect to what we do, only my equal in respect to our common
humanity.  Let's face it, after 20 years in lactation you better know more
than someone who just passed the exam.  I am so grateful for this group of
great minds and open minds willing to share and learn from each other.  I
learn something everytime I open my mail.

Thanks to those Wise Ones who thought of this list and keep it going for all
of us.
