Hello, All.
Mary Kay Smith twice sent a message from work that came through the
digest all garbled. But it came through all right when she sent it from home.
Winnie suggested that perhaps her hospital encrypted the message before it
was sent. Could be, but I noticed that when I went into the archives to read
her message the first and second times it appeared as gibberish, it was
perfectly readable in the archives! It only turned to gibberish when it came through
in the digest. If it had been encrypted as it left her hospital computer
system, wouldn't it have been in the archives as gibberish, too?
Just an FYI for all you who get Lactnet posts in gibberish: this has
happened several times lately, not just Mary Kay's posts, and I've always been
able to read them by going into the archives. It's an extra step to read
what was written, but it saves on confusion.
