I suspect the issue is that the suction is lower, and the suction curve 
is less smooth more than that it is single phase, women brought in 
lovely milk supplies with single phase breast pumps for generations 
(Ameda SMB and Medela Classic).  And yes, I am so frustrated with the 
implementation of the ACA, a cheaply made personal pump for every mom, 
regardless of need.
