Kathy,

I came accross a situation at a hospital where I used to work about
syphilis.  The mother was diagnosed with it shortly after birth.  She
was allowed to b.f. while she was being treated and the baby was being
treated.  Mother was devestated.  She had only been with the baby's
father.
