My colleague and I found out about a MD's/Health Professionals meeting last week that was hosted by one of our local peds....and Mead Johnson.....we attended at the last minute (didn't eat!) . It was horrifying that our local docs ate a lovely supper provided by enfamil and the ped gave a nice powerpoint presentation about helping parents pick formula......with a small lip service paid to breastfeeding of course...no mention of why breastfeeding rates plummet when moms leave hospital!!

So as members of our local breastfeeding coalition we are planning our year and looking at doing lunch and learns/inservices for family practice groups......any suggestions from others who have beat their head against this strong formula support? Topics to present? How to get docs interested?
