Maureen makes a reasonable suggestion about trying to approach the Ezzos with
information.

<< However, they are or are believed to be "good"
people and I would first take time to meet them and talk seriously to them
about the science of lactation before writing them off as malevolent and to
be shunned or flamed or worked against. they are ignorant. It is a
value-free and remediable condition in most humans, though not, I grant
you, in all. Perhaps this has been tried and failed? >>

I am one of many people who has tried. I've met with them, spoken by phone, &
exchanged Email and letters. I'm not an alpha male, and my husband was
obviously afforded more attention and respect when we met. But I have to say
that it was made clear--early and often--that virtually no one was to question
him. When I asked if they had read a book or journal article on human
lactation, the answer was "No". (This was five years ago). However, he went
on to defend his practice of holding himself up as an expert on the subject
anyway.

When serious exchange of information has been attempted, the person who
questions is declared un-credible (for imagined reasons, if that's what it
takes), or simply dismissed.

Reasonable suggestions such as Maureen's generally work only with reasonable
people.
