I think there is a need for clarification of terms here!  This lady is probably talking about allergies as IgE mediated responses.  When we talk about allergies here and with moms, we're usually ncluding IgG responses, which technically are intolerances.  Diet modification makes a HUGE difference with IgG reactions, and I'd hate for a mom to think they didn't because "the research" said it wouldn't be worthwhile.

I have no handy citations to pass on, but I'd suggest that as you search,you use the term intolerance and see what you get.
