Pat and all,

It seems I remember reading about a case like this on Lactnet once upon a
time.  The suggestion I recall was to have the mother use the silicone
flexishield insert.  I also wonder if switching to another company's pump
parts might help.  Medela and Bailey Engineering seem to use a different type
of plastic.

As you are always reminding us, I trust you have also reviewed with her to
check all her soaps and creams---including what she may be using on the pump
parts.
