A while back (maybe a couple of years ago) we had a long thread in which a
number of people (including me) posted about what my husband calls "bf
tristesse" -- a feeling of sorrow that seems to be oxytocin related and that
goes away by itself. Most of us experienced it much more acutely in the
early weeks, when the hormonal waves are surging so strongly anyway and the
sleep deprivation is making all emotional reactions so much stronger; but it
was clearly bf related, for me and some other posters. Seems to be a
variation of normal, and not to last all that long.ESU
