A have spoken to a woman this week who continued to produce milk after weaning her first baby from the breast at about a year old, she also developed other problems. These were investigated and she was eventually diagnosed with a Prolactinoma and treated with Cabergoline.Once she commenced treatment her milk production stopped and quite quickly she became pregnant again. The treatment was stopped and she has not as yet re-commenced the medication.


She now has a five week old baby who is thriving at the breast and she is asymptomatic.

She would like to know if anyone has experience of this condition especially in relation to weaning from the breast.

She would like to specifically speak to another woman who has the condition and has breastfed following diagnosis.
