A mother in my LLL group has vision changes that her doctors are
concerned about. I'm including her description of the situation. Baby
is about 9 months old. Of course I have her permission to post.

"Below are the symptoms that I've been having since about mid-March:
- Light appears brighter than normal, almost blinding.
- Writing/printing is not clear, usually the left part of each word I'm
focusing on is more difficult to see (I saw the ophthalmologist twice,
got a new glasses prescription, but that didn't help much. It's better
than no glasses or my old glasses though).
- Green/red stoplights and brake lights are difficult to see during the
day, and the left side is harder to see than the right.
- At night the headlights, taillights and stoplights are really bright
and somewhat blurry.
- When I come inside from being outside during the day it takes a long
time for my eyes to adjust so I can see.
"All of these symptoms seemed to arrive overnight. I was seeing
normally one day and when I woke up the next day my vision was
different. I had some blood work done yesterday and am going to have an
MRI this afternoon, so I hope that there will be a helpful diagnosis to
cure this eye condition."

She is wondering if breastfeeding could have anything to do with this
situation. I've checked the breastfeeding answer book, as well as
googled, and all I can find is that vision changes can occur in the
early postpartum period. Any suggestions for this mother, or helpful
resources? Thanks.
