Put this exact search into medline/pubmed -- including the hyphen: breast-
milk component cancer . This will give you some studies on commponents of
breastmilk being used in cancer research. When you like one article, click
on "find similar articles" to find more. Then you can e-mail people
involved in any research you're interested in -- they'll likely be aware of
other projects. Nestle' is doing research, if you want to give them a
friendly call... I have plans to get breastmilk into the cancer research
lab I work with. I will, but it'll take time. They need to try it their way
first : )

My local LLL group (Poway, near San Diego) had a mom who relacted to
breastfeed her 7 y.o. who was undergoing chemo/rad therapy for leukemia. I
don't know the end of the story, and it was 8 years ago, but I could likely
track down some who recall her. Not much of a lead, but it was interesting.
I suggested this to a mom of a 5 y.o. undergoing leukemia Rx, but she had
actually never weaned (in part due to the diagnosis made at age 3)(-- this
little girl is doing great, but of course...)
