This product was presented at the San Fancisco Conference in the Vendor
zone. I bought one and really love it. It works VERY WELL for many of my
NICU babies, fx clavicals,Pierre Robin, neuro impared ,spinal bifida, etc.
because the support can be adjusted in so many ways to make it comfortable
for the baby. It also works well for some of my moms unable to hold a baby
well and where another style pillow or support has been ineffective.
I have received calls from mom's who have found my name via Kozy ( not
sure where they got it) and I have been able to refer them to practices
that carry these cushions.
I know when I talked with the vendor at the LL conference, he stated they
were not selling direct because they wanted the parents to be educated on
how to safely use the cushion. If you've seen one, the center pad is very
soft and the company was afraid parents would use these also as a napping
spot for baby ( risky for baby. The company also wanted to make sure that
a LC was able to assist the mom in correctly using the cushion.... at
least thats the promotion info I was given.
I don't know about their market tactics- just know what I have been
exposed to - for me , bottom line is it's a nice product for specific
cases. I have NO affiliation or otherwise financial interest in the
company.. just thought I'd add my two cents.
