Yes, it happens, Read the third case in the article, Infections of the 
Mammary Ducts published the "The Journal for Nurse Practitioners".   Big question 
is: is it maternal or infant blood.  IF maternal baby should be put immediately 
back to breast. Mom's milk should be cultured as well.
