Laurie,
The truth is that endocrinologists know next to nothing about lactation, and
even the reproductive endocrinologists may not know enough. One just
recently told a mom that the thyroid has nothing to do with breastfeeding!
It can be difficult to find someone to work a mom in an intelligent fashion.

I'm currently working on a monograph on PCOS that will lay things out much
better than I can do here on the list. There are general answers but then
also context, which brings layers.
