Hi, Ann

I also received the tear off sheets. Actually like the info on them.
I do wish it was a bit more general, however, referring to partners
instead of daddies.

I actually like the idea that it says brestfeeding is hard work for a
couple of different reasons. 1) I can see the less enlightened
partners saying, "geez, all you do is sit around all day." It
recognizes that mom is working hard at nurturing her baby. and 2)
It helps moms come to terms with the reality that it can take some
time for mom and baby to get breastfeeding figured out. Just last
night I was talking to a friend who has a week old baby. They had a
horrific birth experience, mom seized at the end of the delivery and
the baby had to be sent to a NICU at a different hospital. She was
lamenting that no one told her she would have to work at
breastfeeding. I reminded her that they had some extraordinary
circumstances they had to deal with and that she and the baby had
both made progress in the two days they have actually been together.
It really helped her to be reminded of that and that it will get
easier.

Yes, it would be more ideal if they talked more about partner's
showing babies that love doesn't equal food, but at least they do
address not giving bottles right away until breastfeeding is going
well.

I do really like the fact that the sheets discuss running
interference when people give negative comments about BF, says that
moms need to let dads nurture babies their own way, and gives some
concrete things dads can do (especially being mom's cheerleader!).
