My understanding has always been that saying drip milk isn't  
appropriate because it is 1)  highly contaminated from skin bacteria  
and 2) it is almost entirely low fat foremilk.
When milk sits in that nice warm environment, against the skin, it is  
a perfect medium for bacterial and fungi growth.

I believe the warning traces back to when moms used solid breast  
shells used to catch leakage.

I think a bag would have the same problems with contamination. Maybe  
her body is telling her she should feed at night. If she is struggling  
with supply and the baby don't wake for night feedings she should  
express.

For mother's who are exclusively pumping, I recommend adding a night  
pump if they see a dip in supply. It usually brings up mom's supply in  
2 or 3 days.
