A question for you: Has anyone heard of an association between oestrogen in
the breastmilk just before start of mother's period, and vomiting in the
baby?

A mother I spoke to had this happen (ie vomiting baby the day before each
period) from 3 months pp. She had had a D&C for retained fragments at 6
weeks pp which she felt influenced the early return of menses. No other
pre-disposing factors for early return, like long gaps between feeds, baby
sucking on other objects, etc. This baby gained slowly and fed almost
continuously. At 13 months, mother fed up with vomiting, and went to
doctor, who told her it was caused by the oestrogen, and solution was to
wean, which she did. She would now like to know what to do if this happens
with the next baby.

Any ideas?
