I have no financial interest in Ekornes, beyond living in Norway and
benefiting in a very general sense from anything that stimulates the
Norwegian economy.

These chairs are light enough for a small person to move easily, yet stable.
They are comfortable with no angles where small (or large) fingers can get
pinched, and rotate on their base so they can be turned to any angle while
someone is sitting in them. Many models can be wiped clean with a damp
cloth. We have one in each room in our breastfeeding clinic and there are a
few on the postnatal ward as well, but not enough. There should be one in
every room, IMO.

I can attest to their suitability for laid back positions to encourage
spontaneous rooting, crawling and attachment to breast by babies. I fear
that if word gets out about how effective this is, they will let all the
breastfeeding specialists go, and just having a continuous loop DVD showing
laid back breastfeeding with several rows of these chairs facing the
screen.
