Rosacea can be treated very well with metrogel on its own.The treatment of
rosacea is largely cosmetic, although if left untreated for years, can
cause big fat red veins in the face and a large irregular nose. Metrogel,
however, can keep most of that in check, until she is able to do
doxycycline or tetracycline long term, as is often need depending on the
severity of rosacea. I vote for metrogel and breastfeeding!-Anne Eglash MD
