I respectfully disagree with you Pam.  I believe your population of low birth
weight babies is very different from that is the USA (ie growth retarded vs.
true premies).  In real estate the key is location; in NICU nutrition the key
is protein. The research is clear: added protein improves growth - added
calories doesn't.  I would love to have a source of powdered human protein to
give to my patients -I am waiting for Prolacta (or someone else) to provide
it at a reasonable price.  Would I want enough protein for my child's brain
during an intense period of growth, even if it came from non-human sources -
yes.
